Rebirth with Goddess Ostara

with Amber, Shanna, and Kelly

Gather in a circle of women* to tend to your inner garden in this celebration of rebirth brought forth by spring and the Goddess Ostara. Ostara, the ancient Germanic goddess of the spring, saw a bird with frozen wings and saved it by transforming it into a hare. The hare responded with gratitude by laying eggs as gifts for her spring festival.

In celebration of spring and rebirth we will cull, plant, and grow our intentions while connecting with each other and nurturing ourselves.

Our evening together begins with “culling” via Restorative Yoga, grounding breathwork, guided meditation, and tea ceremony. The quiet, gentle yoga, breathwork, and meditation will connect you to your roots, dreams, and desires.

With this clarity, and after a fortifying tea ceremony, you will “plant,” capturing and recording your intentions on Bay Leaf paper. Together, we’ll review the importance of self-care and explores ways to practice.

Finally, you’ll depart with a gift of locally foraged and dried flowers and herbs with instructions for an intention planting ceremony at home in honor of Ostara.

*This event is open to all those who identify as female, including both cis and trans gender.

About your Guides

Amber

Amber, who specializes in pre/postnatal yoga and Barre, is an enthusiastic and supportive instructor. Amber’s first yoga class as a high-school student was right over in Princeton Harbor. Further exploration from there led her to a regular Bikram practice as a young adult. Eventually, Amber’s interest in yoga pivoted to the comfort, peace, and community it provides. Her formative experience in taking and teaching yoga in Madison, WI, led her to teach Yin, Barre3, Yoga for Kids, and Pre/Postnatal. She is also a certified Reiki Master.

Amber spent her first decade in Southern California until her family settled in Half Moon Bay, where she graduated from HMBHS. She attended UC Irvine, where she received her BA in English. After college, she worked as a journalist for the HMB Review and gained further experience in marketing. Once Amber found healing from postpartum depression through yoga, she walked away from her traditional career path and dedicated herself to helping new mothers to find support through the practice.

Shanna

Shanna Nardone is a Certified Life Coach and the founder of Maternal Grove. Her company is focused on self discovery, empowerment, and individual transformation.

As a woman, wife, mother of two, entrepreneur, and more, Shanna learned first hand the importance of finding acceptance and the beauty within herself to live a spacious and balanced life. She chose to stop allowing societal pressures to define what it meant to be a “good mom” and woman and started living an authentic life for herself.

Her mission is to support other maternal figures in rediscovering and reconnecting with themselves, their inner beauty, creating boundaries, prioritizing themselves and their time, and exploring new outlooks.
