Teacher Bio:

Amy Thomas  ERYT 200 / YACEP / RYS 200

Amy Lin Thomas holds Yoga Alliance certificates as a Registered Yoga Teacher, a Continuing Education Provider, and a Registered Yoga School. Amy’s powerful energy and soft touch reflects her mastery in Reiki.

Amy first studied yoga in 1984 as an elective physical education class while earning her undergraduate degree at Indiana University. As a collegiate soccer player, she was looking for something to help stretch muscles and aid in flexibility. As a graduate student earning her Master’s in Psychology, she again studied the body, mind, &  spiritual healing qualities of yoga at Sonoma State University in California.

Amy completed her National Yoga Alliance YTT under the guidance and expertise of Nancy Schalk in February of 2003.

Amy’s been teaching yoga for over 20 years, from Indiana to California to Kauai. She is the founder and creator of Flourish Yoga + Wellbeing, a studio in Indianapolis. Amy created and conducted her first Flourish Yoga Teacher Training in 2012, which is nationally recognized by the Yoga Alliance as a certified Yoga Teacher School with a specialized focus on energy work in yoga.

Amy is thrilled to be a resident of Half Moon Bay with her 8-year-old Great Pyrenees, Padma. She loves kayaking and cycling on the coast and can’t wait for opportunities to open up again for dancing, live music, and travel.
